Our Story
Alabama Foundation Experience Since 1977
APS Foundation Repair and Waterproofing was founded in 1977 with a simple purpose: provide Alabama homeowners with honest assessments and permanent foundation solutions. Over the following four decades, we expanded from a single Birmingham-area crew to four offices serving all of Alabama and the Columbus, Georgia market.
We have watched out-of-state franchise companies enter Alabama, apply solutions designed for Midwest soils to Alabama's expansive Black Belt clay, and leave homeowners with repairs that fail within a few years. We built our reputation by doing the opposite: diagnosing the specific soil failure mechanism affecting each home and engineering a solution matched to Alabama's actual geology.
Today our crews include second-generation employees whose parents worked foundation repairs alongside our founders. That institutional knowledge of Alabama's soil conditions, weather patterns, and building practices is something no franchise playbook can replicate.
